Event: Promoting Gender Equality & Diversity in Local Government

Clare County Council has announced details of an upcoming event to promote and support greater involvement by women from diverse backgrounds in local government.
The event, ‘Promoting Gender Equality & Diversity in Local Government’, will include a panel discussion with local and national politicians as well as speakers from diverse groups.
See Her Elected (SHE) will also be introducing its free online course on the day, ‘Introduction to Politics.’ The SHE programme is a rural strategy to address the under-representation of women in politics in rural Ireland.
The event takes place in glór in Ennis on Tuesday, 17th May, from 10:30am until 2:00pm.
